Area of Interest

Comis Foundation supports programs and policy work that drive improvements in educational outcomes for children and youth.  We are interested in programs that support the community as well as children and youth directly.  We embrace the whole child concept of full community engagement to drive better outcomes for the child and our society at large.

Applicant Eligibility

All potential grantees must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Foundation will not support organizations that discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, political affiliation, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief.

Grant Limitations

The Foundation does not fund internationally. We also do not consider funding for: individuals, scholarships, sponsorships, capital, or loans.

Type of Support

The Foundation provides funding for both General Support and Project Support.

Grant Range

The Foundation provides funding to a maximum of $50,000 per year and will consider multi year applications starting for the 2023 funding cycle.

Review Process

Requests for funding will be reviewed in light of the Foundation’s field of interest and current priorities.

  • Applications with supporting documents should arrive by: October 6th
  • Letters of Notification are sent: November 17th

2024

  • Applications with supporting documents should arrive by: April 12th
  • Letters of Notification are sent: April 27th
