MISSION:  Comis Foundation invests in organizations that provide opportunity and access to equip children with skills to explore, learn, and thrive in their chosen communities.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES:  Comis Foundation has 5 principles which guide our focus: We work to build relationships of mutual trust with our grantees; We value sustainable systems and solutions; We are not experts, we want to learn and enable learning; We are willing to accept risk when warranted to achieve greater impact; We value both new and established ways of serving communities.

HISTORY:  Comis Foundation was formed with the clear intent of providing opportunities for those who had desire but not the resources. Comis Foundation recognizes that a high-quality and equitable education system can reduce barriers to opportunity and transform lives. Since 2002 Comis has funded projects that aim to level the playing field and ensure that from the first day of school children receive an education and an opportunity that equips them with the life skills to not only succeed but to thrive in their community. Chris and Janet have since passed but Comis continues the vision Janet and Chris had to provide a way.
